Automatic calculation of the final grade

The final grade at the end of the grading period can be calculated automatically.

Click on the gradebook settings.

Select Final grade. Choose what the grade should be calculated based on.
If the school has defined global rules for calculating the final grade, the teacher can use these settings for the calculation.

The teacher can also define their own grade conversion tables. This setting then has a higher priority than the administrator's setting.

If the teacher grades using marks, they select Grades in the average type. If the teacher grades using points/percentages, they select Percentages/Points in the average type.

They enter the thresholds for calculating the final grade. The final grade is calculated after clicking the Calculate report card grades button.

The final grade calculation is only an aid. The teacher can manually overwrite the calculated grade at any time.

Grade book setup
